MUSIC HISTORY
A brief look at the history of music during several historical periods and cultures. Utilizing a Biblical perspective, the course will analyze how various times and cultures have influenced church music.

The course presents intervals, key signatures, advanced notations, and intermediate level solfege. Prerequisite: Theory/Solfege I

THEORY/SOLFEGE I
Introduction to the basic theoretical concepts of music. The course introduces notations and basic solfege.
THEORY/SOLFEGE III
The course concentrates on advanced music concepts and advanced level solfege. Prerequisite(s): Theory/Solfege II
COMPOSITION
The course guides development of student creativity within various music boundaries.
HYMNOLOGY
WORSHIP MUSIC
The study of hymns, their history, their progression through the years, and their usage in today’s church services. The course also examines the meaning of Worship and its function in our church services.
